LASALLE College of the Arts provides a supportive, progressive, and inspirational environment for their students and faculty members. Focused on creative expression, innovation, and independence of thought, LASALLE encourage its students to be inquisitive and to develop and prosper as growin artists and designers. LASALLE has a unique and iconic structure, which ultimately became our inspiration for the wayfinding design. We wanted to enhance LASALLE’s distinctive interior even further by creating a design which compliments its overall structure. We observed the pattern made by the glass inside each building.

LASALLE is well known for their multi-geomentric windows plastered all over its buildings. We used that for inspiration to make our own pattern seen on the left. This is the main pattern we used to represent the school.

Looking at all the buildings, each of them have a unique shape but they all unity. To get that tone, we created a font for the building’s letter, based on our main pattern.
The font was based by Acumin font, which also the main font for our body text and information of this project.

These are the symbols we made to support our wayfinding.
We tried to corporate the pattern and the symbol together to make them all look unified.

These are our design of the navigation inside the school.
We made the height reference for all the designs and how tall each would be when compared to the human figure.
We want to make everything big and clear around eyes-level of standard Asian height.
